sigh
i have been knitting up a storm, but i can't show you anything yet because the camera is not charged, and getting all the crap together to do that and then upload the pictures is just too much to ask right now, folks.
sorry about being so whiny and going on and on about my foot, but it really is the reason for a lot of things.
i hate blogging without pictures.
all i can do right now is watch tv and knit. cuz you can do that on your back. (we STILL don't have a tv; we watch tv on the computer, which doesn't count as watching tv.)
(it doesn't!)
plus i want to get a bunch of people together and have them model my new stuff all in one picture. that's not going to happen anytime soon. but wouldn't that be cool?!
even though i have a job now, i still want to get a "collection" together to sell for the winter. but i am actually out of yarn! for those of you who are not knitters and do not read knitting blogs, this is a HUGE accomplishment. it's called "stash busting". it is impressive because knitters like to buy yarn even if they don't know what they are going to make out of it and don't have time to make anything. and so they end up with mounds and mounds of it. see, what they need to do is break their foot. or any bone below the belly button, really.
i am going to take a cab three blocks to the yarn store on avenue a on saturday and just go nuts buying yarn. and then i'm going to watch the entirety of season four of the wire while i churn out at least two more hats.
you guys, i can't wait to show you the hat i just finished. it's called "the oddball hat" because it's made out of all the leftover yarn i had. little balls of yarn leftover from multiple projects are called "oddballs". i think i'm onto something here; it's beautiful! i'm going to make a bunch of them. even though i don't have any more oddballs, what with my stash being busted and all. i'm just going to get a whole bunch of different colors. and tv shows.
