great. i guess what i know about myself is that THERE ISNT ONE GOOD HAIRDRESSER TO BE HAD ON THE ENTIRE ISLE OF MANHATTAN FOR ANY PRICE!

the lindens are blooming! the smell is totally unique and intoxicating. (i know "intoxicating" is totally overused for smells, but i'm trying to be informative and expedient.) it'll soon be over--they've been blooming for a week--so go out and smell some. first avenue between fifth and tenth on the west side of the street has a bunch of them. (they're trees.)

tonight at about nine-ish, i will be selling satanic cupcakes at ASS magazine's 666 benefit gala. today, if you were not aware, is 6/6/06. it might be the end of the world. ASS stands for artstar scene. reverend jen writes pretty much everything in it. it's good. plus, the new york howl is playing. anyways, it's at bowery poetry club. 308 bowery at bleecker. right across the street from the soon-to-be-demolished-for-luxury-condos CBGBs. come buy a cupcake. support ASS.

the first one is my grandfather. he died when i was thirteen. i didn't cry. but i miss him now. he was a really good person. which is always a dumb thing to say. except that he was. he was an elementary school principal. they recently named a newly built library after him. and it had nothing to do with anyone donating money. because we are not that kind of family. unfortunately. pun not intended. yet still somehow, not deleted.
