garden update

we went to the 6bc garden after brunch this morning and were awed as usual by its beauty. i was somewhat irritated to discover, however, full grown blooming queen anne's lace. my seedlings are all quite miniscule, and i was starting to think that even though they are native to new york that maybe this was too far south for them and that's why you never see them in the city. nope. eh, they probably started them inside.

anyway, my poppies are getting ready to bloom.

and, look, tomatoes.

so there.

I love the guerilla gardening concept. I tried this once with morning glory seeds, but they, too can be hard to germinate. Congratulations, the poppies are beautiful. When I was a NYC dweller, I would have been thrilled to run across them.
